Eldorado Care Center is a 256-bed comprehensive, inpatient rehabilitation center, located in the City of El Cajon.
Eldorado Care Center has joined together with Intergro Rehab Services, a topnotch leader in rehabilitation services, in providing a full service rehabilitation program to adults who have experienced a setback and recent acute hospitalization. Under the direction of the attending physician, the interdisciplinary, clinical rehab team of Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapists; Social Services; Activities; a Registered Dietitian; and Registered Nurses, create a personalized, rehab treatment plan for each patient involved in one of many comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The clinical team partners with families to assist each patient with reaching their individualized functional goals towards independence. The facility has an excellent rehab team under the leadership of Roxanne Hon, M.D. and many of the finest physicians in the local community.
Hip fracture/replacement patients undergo a personalized, comprehensive rehab treatment plan addressing such areas as transfer and gait training; and training in dressing, toileting, and grooming. The focus is on strengthening/endurance, safety/judgment, and education.
Patients with neuromuscular conditions such as Parkinson's and Strokes receive a specialized rehab treatment plan to maximize their independence and functional skills.
Patients with cardiopulmonary conditions such as C.O.P.D. or a heart condition receive a therapeutic rehab and educational program, which helps patients “maximize their quality of life”. The program incorporates breathing training, energy conservation, and compensatory techniques.
Patients with multiple medical conditions, such as infections, nutritional deficiencies, incontinence, cognitive impairment, depression, and/or sensory loss are assisted to prior levels by clinical specialists. The clinical team has earned a unique reputation in its ability to partner with the physicians in providing a high level of care to complex patients. As a post-acute facility, our registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses are on duty 24 hours a day.
