Eldorado Care Center, located in the City of El Cajon, is one of the leaders in Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Services in the San Diego County community. Eldorado is a 256-bed comprehensive, inpatient rehabilitation center, with a regionally recognized 37-bed sub-acute unit. This rehabilitation program, with the expertise and leadership of Intergro Rehab Services has an excellent clinical team under the leadership of some of the finest physicians in the community.

The unit has experienced, well trained licensed nurses and respiratory therapists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Eldorado Care Center has an excellent clinical team that provides the sub-acute patients with therapy, emotional support, and education to stabilize both the physio and psychopathology of cardio/pulmonary diseases.
The unit specializes in treating ventilator and cool aerosol patients with the following conditions:

• C.O.P.D.
• Pneumonia
• Emphysema
• Chronic Bronchitis
• Other debilitating cardiopulmonary conditions

Pulmonary rehab enables patients to improve oxygenation and ventilation. In addition, the program will assist in managing and resolving acute respiratory illnesses. When possible, the respiratory therapists will assist in weaning patients off of a mechanical ventilator and tracheostomy tube. The goal is to return the patient to the highest possible functional capacity allowed by the patient's pulmonary status and over-all life situation.
Eldorado has designated services for renal dialysis patients. In support of the attending physician, the interdisciplinary clinical team of licensed nurses, a registered dietitian, a social worker, rehab, and activities provide care to patients who are on portable hemodialysis.
